Updated pictures of our home

Here are some updated pictures of our house. I just need to document these so we can see the progress.

It has been a lot of work, but we are excited to finally have a yard of grass! Hopefully the first part of spring we will get hydroseed! In other news I have finished another semester of school! I only have 2 more semesters that consist of pre-student teaching and then student teaching following that. It will be great to be done, and then hopefully I can find a job teaching!

Garth!

We got a new puppy a month or so ago! His name is Garth and we were told he was a mix between a Yorkie and a Chiuaua. But as he grows up he looks more like a schnauzer. We are completely in love with him and he has become our little child. He goes with us everywhere and is SPOILED. He loves to go on motorcycle rides with us, and has been on a few. The longest one being over to Brigham City, through Honeyville and back over Valley View. He is also naughty just like a kid. The other day he got into our markers and took the lid off of a sharpie and proceeded to chew on the end. In doing so, he wrote all over our floors with the marker! Luckily it came off pretty good with a magic eraser!

Our new Home!

The week before we got married was a stressful week to say the least, I moved back to Logan for good, I finished finals, and we bought a house! We bought a little cute brick home in Hyde Park. It is exactly what we were looking for so we could not pass it up! It has a shop for Wes to work in, and also has a 1/2 acre of land. It is perfect for us! Inside is a little outdated in the basement, but the top floor has been completely remodeled. There are 4 bedrooms and one bath. We plan to add another bathroom downstairs and remodel, but that will come with time. We are currently in the middle of updating the yard, and adding grass. :) From the pictures you can tell that we have a lot of yard work to do! These pictures are all prior to us buying the house so a lot has changed!

Picture description: 1- Front of house. A majority of those bushes are gone and it is flattened now to have grass 2 - All of that bush/debris is cleaned up and there is a definate driveway to the garage now. 3 - Master bedroom 4 - Kitchen/Dining room - There is now a stove and the cabinet on the left hand of the picture is gone. 5 - Kitchen 6 - Living Room (red wall is now a gray) 7 - living room 8 - One bedroom downstairs 9 - Bathroom 10 - The other bedroom downstairs 11 - Spare bedroom upstairs - computer room for now 12 - Shop and part of the yard 13 - Front of shop (there is now no bush in front of the second door. 14 - Backyard and chicken coop which now is a house for Wes's snowmobiles. As you can see we have a lot of work on our hands. :) Feel free to come and help whenever you would like. :)

Wedding Day!

We got married on April 27th! It was a great day and everything came together perfectly! I could not have asked for a better, more relaxing day! We decided to get married in the afternoon and move right into the reception so we did not have a bunch of early morning chaotic happenings, nor would we have a lot of time to kill between wedding and reception. I was able to sleep in, and then got my makeup done by Ursalla. She did an amazing job. I then came home and did my own hair, and got some chinese food with Wes. We got everything ready to go and set to decorate what little decorations I had. Luckily, the accolade at Hamiltons is beatiful as is, so there was no need for a ton of decorations. We were married by Bryan Cox, mayor of Hyde Park City, and my old bishop, Steven Reed was able to give a few comments and thoughts. My photography was Sami Jo (samijophoto.com) - she did my wedding day ones. The pictures that are taken the day after (in the grove and with the mountains behind) were done by my friend Katie - odaphotography.blogspot.com My amazing cake was made by Steve at Hamiltons. He did a wonderful job and made the cake exactly how we asked for it!

Colorado

At the beginning of November Kylie and I decided to go on a road trip. We went to Colorado and had a blast just shopping and hanging out! It was relaxing and much needed! I love Colorado and cannot wait to go back!

Life Changes

To make a long story short, I did not get into the Special Education program at Utah State. I have been working hard to get into the program, but it was not meant to be. Instead of taking ANOTHER year off of school to apply next October I am making a big life change and transferring to Weber. It will be good for me to move on and make new friends in Ogden. I cannot wait. My first class starts in January, but it is only Saturday mornings so I will continue to live and work here in the valley. I will most likely move down at the end of the summer unless something great comes up down there. The plan is to live with my brother and his wife unless an apartment opportunity comes up. I am excited and think that it will be good for me!
